How many of you would have seen Google for what it could be in 1999 when they raised their first $25M in venture capital? Two PhD candidates, one who is known for staring at the floor for long periods of time telling you that they do better search than Yahoo.
How many of you would have seen eBay, launched in 1995 for what it would become. A French born Iranian entrepreneur who wrote the original code over a long weekend and made up the name eBay on the fly when he discovered his first choice was already taken.
Determining which companies will make it and which ones will not is beyond difficult, it is impossible. Not only is it finding a needle in a haystack, the needle looks just like hay!
